How to Become an Early Riser

I just found this post from about a year ago, but it's pretty interesting. Then I stumbled upon his post (and subsequent series of posts) about polyphasic sleep and I couldn't stop reading it. Until I fell asleep, that is. It really got me thinking about how different daily life would be if we didn't have to sleep, or sleep much. Apparently, this is a quite a realistic possibility in our lifetimes, especially considering society's ever-increasing move to 24-hour availability and the latest efforts to better living through chemistry.
